Originally hand painted by Maria in the studio then meticulously recorded to retain their painterly nuance and charm, our murals are printed exclusively in-house using the finest pigmented inks on archival canvas to faithfully replicate the richness and subtlety of actual paint.
GIARDINO
A somewhat wilder version of a classic Roman garden, GIARDINO was hand painted by Maria using a natural palette of lime paints to evoke the spontaneity and opacity of Buon Fresco. The birds have settled-in unseen, adding a sense of stillness to the verdant scene.
LORRAIN
Our classically-inspired LORRAIN grisaille scenic pays soft tribute to the celebrated French artist Claude Lorrain, one of the first artists to focus primarily on the landscape. Originally hand painted on tinted plaster, its lively brushstrokes and luminous background create a gentle feeling of movement and poetry.
HOLLYE
Our HOLLYE bird-and-flower mural prettily bends the rules, blending springtime blossoms with summer-blooming spires. Honoring a historic Chinoiserie set in a British castle (and our love of hollyhocks and morning glories), our painterly pastel-hued rendition brightens the room with joie de vie.
VERDURE
Dreamy VERDURE blends the elegance of antique tapestry foliage with light, impressionistic watercolor brushstrokes and a naturalistic air. Originally painted on plaster, its layered tones and etherial sky create a tranquil al fresco atmosphere with the gentlest patina.
